Cardinal's Crest Policies

For the safety, convenience and comfort of all our guests please note the following:

Unlike a commercial hotel property which can generally rely on a large and steady stream of guests, a small bed and breakfast has a much greater challenge in making sure our staff, supplies and resources are properly matched to the number of our guests and any special needs, each and every day.

After all, even if we have only two people on a given night, that's twenty percent of our capacity! Accordingly, Cardinals Crest (and most B & B's) must be mindful that revenues, costs and facility resources are kept in balance. For this reason, you will note that our policies regarding cancelation, refunds and occupancy are not as liberal as you would expect to find in a commercial, high volume establishment.

We're in the hospitality business in the most personal sense, and we hope you will agree that our policies and rules are a reasonable and fair minded approach to assuring that you and every guest receives the most possible value in exchange for the entrustment of your very good business.

Reservations

Your reservation is secured by payment of a deposit. The amount of your deposit is 50% of the amount of your total stay. Consequently, we strongly recommend using a credit card at the time you call to book your room. The balance of your payment is due upon arrival. At your option, you may pay the deposit by check, but we cannot book the room until we have received your check. Likewise, if accompanied by credit card information, you may also pay the balance due by check.

Arrivals and Departures

Your room will be ready for you not later than 3PM the day of your arrival or at such time as may have been otherwise arranged in advance. But don't be a stranger! If you arrive ahead of time, please feel free to drop off your luggage which we'll put in your room for you. Explore our acreage or plunge into area activities while we clean and tidy up.

Checkout time is 11 AM.

Cancelations & Refunds

Owing to the investment we make in preparing for our guests' stay, we issue refunds of advance payments as follows:

  • With 30 or more days notice to us, we will refund the entire deposit amount.
  • Between 29 and 15 days notice, we will refund one-half your deposit if no other guest rents your room.
  • Less than 15 days notice, we make no refund, if no other guest rents your room.

Children

The bed and breakfast is a venue for adults; consequently we can not accommodate guests below the age of 12. However, if you are renting the entire house, there is no age restriction on any guest.

Pets

Owing to the resident farm animal population, we are unable to accommodate pets at this time or allow them on the premises. Too much stimulation for ours and for yours! We will be happy to refer you, however, to area boarding facilities.

Food, Beverage, Smoking

Cardinals Crest proudly serves a bounteous country breakfast as part of your stay. Should you wish to enjoy other meals here, we provide an outdoor cooking area and fire pit for your use. We are not licensed to provide any other food and beverage service. However, we do have a large, flat area that is perfectly suited to catered events and we will be happy to put you in touch with reputable area caterers and work with them to assure a successful gathering.

You may consume alcohol, so be sure to bring what you need.

Smoking is permitted -but outside only.
