This is the home of Thomas Jefferson, whose dedication to the notion
of a free, democratic society had everything to do with the culture
and freedom we enjoy today. His home at Monticello has been
faithfully restored and is open to the general public. Skilled
docents walk you through the home, the surrounding grounds and
indeed, through history. |

On this page we'll give you links to some of the venues and activities which we believe will give first-time visitors a solid appreciation of our people, culture, history, geography and more. But don't stop there; we'll also link you to sources of more information which you may view and use to create a memorable and satisfying experience -and, very possibly- plans to return.
